# Prettiest car ever made?

Dopers… I’d love your opinions…
The prettiest car ever made?
For a long time, Mrs Boo Boo and I used to agree that the prettiest car that “we” have ever seen was the Ferrari California 250 Convertible which was featured in the film “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off”. Man, that was a truly beautiful car. Not a very big car, and by todays standards of technology, not overly advanced - but nonetheless, a truly beautiful little convertible with a 2.5 litre V12 with six (count 'em) dual throat Webers. What a note.
However, 6 months ago, we purchased a 1966 Shelby GT350 Mustang. Obviously, our opinions are different now - but in the interests of fairness I’m happy to concede that I’m guilty of dreadful bias obviously.

It should be noted that the example above features an all black interior where as ours features a colour matched white and scarlett red interior to compliment the exterior. And I have to say it’s better for it. The 1967 Selby GT500 featured in “Gone in 60 Seconds” was NOT, I repeat NOT, an original car. It was one of 11 that Carrol Shelby made specifically for the film and many of the body panels and front spoliers etc were profoundly different to the original. The Eleanor version is seriously pretty bit of work but the original was quite ugly in my opinion. They just went a bit too wacko with the bolt on front panels etc.
So, my fellow Dopers. Care to offer opinions? I’d suggest linking to a website or some photos if you think we might not be familiar with the vehicle.
Just in closing, one of the things I’ve noticed in the last decade of computer assisted car design is that the efforts which are put into aerodynamics (whilst very benefitial from a fuel efficiency POV) seems to have resulted in a lot of vehicles which look annoyingly similar. Does anyone agree with this.
By the way, anyone who posts a photograph of the Porsche “Cayenne” SUV seriously has their taste in their ass.

1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. I prefer the coupe style to the fastback. And the 67-68 'stangs were a little larger and more solid. I’ve never seen a car to equal the Mustang on pure visceral attractiveness (don’t think too much of the upcoming “retro” style either).
Yes, all many modern cars look annoying alike; I have difficulty telling them apart.

Two cars jump to mind if money is no object
[The Ferrari 250 GTO](http://www.web-cars.com/gto/ferrari.html) Oh my god this is a pretty car. Just looks powerful when it is parked.

First car ever produced with concealed headlamps - of course, this being 1937, you had to crank them up from the drivers and passenger side, but just look at that shape! And those sidepipes! This was one sweet supercharged FAST car for it’s day!
