Well, the almost 11-year-old girl thinks that cereal is the fifth major food group, the one teenage boy in the house and my husband both eat cereal and drink a fair amount of milk, the toddler uses about 1.5-2 gallons a week, I use it for cooking… it just disappears. I was buying groceries tonight, and just grabbed a couple of gallons without even looking at the sell-by date, and another shopper looked at me with a knowing smile: I mentioned that the date on the jug is purely theoretical at my house, and she said yeah, that was a hard habit to get back into after 3 kids at home left the nest.
