There is that confirmation bias and motivated reasoning that makes your posts so tedious. You’ve pullled that estimate out of your arse. The vast majority of the threads I participate in present no barrier to understanding. Look them up if you like, they are all there. What you _don’t_ like is some of the slightly contrary opinions that I hold, or perhaps you don’t like how I state them. You simply have a knee-jerk dislike to me and when you come across posts on some “touchy” subjects you take great delight in misrepresenting what I’ve said or outright lying. There is a small group of people who always join in together, it is like clockwork. I can tick them off on a bingo card and you all use exactly the same tactics. It is both tedious and amusing at the same time and I smirk as the predicted people chime in. I start to worry that something terrible has happened when they are late to the party. ---

It’s worth considering that Harry, at least, knows no other world than the one in which he is a celebrity. He seems to simultaneously hate it but also to want to fight fire with fire, thus the book etc. From outside, I can see that his strategy is unsuccessful. We don’t get photos of his aunt Anne every time she cuts a ribbon: there’s clearly a way no manage the circus. But Harry is pretty clearly damaged by this from childhood and isn’t managing well. Meagan strikes me as a typical overconfident American who just didn’t understand how deeply entrenched the culture was that she married into. As long as Harry cares what we think, he’s going to fight the paps. As long as we care about him, the paps will pander to us. ---

Hmm, I doubt I’m on your bingo card as I haven’t been participating in this board for all that long. Yet I find what you’ve been saying here sort of shocking. I do not think celebrities of any stripe “deserve” the constant stalking of the press. I guess the courts and I disagree on that. However, your reply to gyrate very much implies that they “deserve” whatever comes their way because they have chosen to live quasi public lives. (I also think if _ **implies** _ "those seIf important prigs piss me off so go pap go) If that is really not what you meant, you may add me as another person who thinks it’s clearly what you said. And, yes it is victim blaming. Perhaps you need a new bingo card. ---

You are straight up _inviting_ me to clarify and I fully expect that it’ll be honestly assessed (as most people do, You’ll note the very first thing I did in response to Gyrate was to ask for clarification but nothing was forthcoming other than a comparison to rape). Now we may still continue to disagree and that’s fine, just as long as we both are disagreeing on what has actually been said and what the other actually means. Harry and Meghan court publicity through the press and media. That’s what they do. They use it to get their message out and to sell their products. They use the media for negative purposes and for spreading lies and criticism against others (as others do about them). My point is that they complain about attention and criticism when it comes back their way in a form they don’t like but that is, in most part, a problem of their own making. I’ve clarified that no, they don’t ask for direct personal harrassment by the press or to be put in danger but yes, they _are_ asking for the media to pay very close attention to them and they know full well what the media is like and what they are capable of. “deserve” is a value judgement and has nothing to do with my point. People who smoke don’t _deserve_ lung cancer but is it “victim blaming” to say _precisely_ the following?.. “it is possible to vastly reduce your risk of lung cancer by not smoking and people are fully informed that disease of that kind is a real risk that you run when you smoke” Because if it is that is a great example of why the term is useless and I avoid it in the first place and if it isn’t then you can apply that reasoning to what I’m saying about Harry and Meghan. (As you seem to despise the press as much as I do I hope you enjoy their cameo appearance as a horrible, pernicious disease) So, I very much do not think that they “_deserve whatever_ comes their way”. In the words of a great, if somewhat taciturn philosopher “deserve’s got nothin’ to do with it”. But I’d take what he says with a pinch of salt.
