astro, lets take a look at the SHOCKING revelations the NOTW have to reveal

> [@](#):
>
> BACK-STABBING butler Paul Burrell betrayed the Royal Family’s trust— to impress his gay lover Greg Pead.

Why did they say “Gay lover”?

> [@](#):
>
> He showered his lover with dozens of letters containing highly sensitive and secret details of his palace life.

There is nothing sensitive in the letters, as their quotes below show.

> [@](#):
>
> Burrell sent his messages to Pead in Australia on notepaper he pinched from from Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Sandringham and the Royal Yacht Britannia.

1. they dont show the heading of the paper to show they were from the Palace, or Winsor Castle, or the Yacht.

2. they assume that he wasn’t allowed to use the stationary.
His indiscretions ridicule the Royal Family’s high security.

> [@](#):
>
> In a letter sent from Windsor Castle in the summer of 1980, he gave full details of timings for the Queen Mother’s 80th birthday parade— including the names of the royals in the carriage he will be attending as page.

How is this a breach of Trust? I can see the exclusive headlines “Queen Mother will be in a Parade for her birthday! Quelle Suprise!”

>
> On June 14 1980 he sent an official Court Circular to Pead—with a guide to how it was compiled. “This is the one the Queen saw today and I thought that you would like it,” he wrote.

the court circulars are made public anyway.

> Even before Diana married, boastful Burrell gave away the secrets of her wedding dress.
>
> On July 18 1981 he wrote: "Lady Diana’s wedding dress is fabulous…a very long white tulle veil, held in place by the Spencer family tiara which is small and very pretty.

> And Burrell couldn’t wait to spill the explosive diplomatic row between Britain and Spain.
>
> On Buckingham Palace paper dated July 22 1981, he started “My Dearest Dearest Greg” and continued: "HM had news today that the King and Queen of Spain will NOT now be visiting for the Royal Wedding.
>
> “King Carlos has been pressured by his government to decline the invitation, as the couple intend to start their honeymoon cruise in Gibraltar. It is most distressing to the Queen who was looking for a full set of foreign royals for her son’s wedding.”

that was never a secret. Here is web page that mentions it

Burrell revealed in a letter on Aug 5 1981 the scene at Charles and Diana’s wedding breakfast.

He said: "The bride and groom were so excited and nervous they couldn’t eat the fish, roast chicken and strawberries and fresh cream!

“All Charles had was a few strawberries, Diana managed a slice of pineapple! Perhaps they had thoughts of something else!” On June 26 1981 bitchy Burrell gossipped about events at Prince Andrew’s lavish 21st birthday bash.

He wrote: "The Queen went to bed at 4am. Lady Diana stayed up until 6am dancing on the lawn with Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones.

“The P O Wales was in bed by 1am—left Lady Di at the party.”

[quote]

there is nothing scandalous mentioned in this.

> [@](#):
>
> Burrell passed on details of Charles and Diana’s engagement before it was made public,

they give no evidence of this

> [@](#):
>
> and even Princess Anne’s unborn baby daughter Zara was fair game for the blabbermouth butler.
>
> “Here is my guess as to what name(s) Princess Anne will give her new baby,” he wrote on May 17 81 before reeling off a list of names.

this implies he spoke about the child before it was born. the problem here is that if Zara was born on the 15th May 1981
[http://www.zodiacal.com/royalty/73722.htm](http://www.zodiacal.com/royalty/73722.htm)
how is she “unborn” on the 17th when the letter is dated? and the childs name is hardly a court secret.

[quote]

In a note dated Nov 17 1980 after the Queen’s visit to Morocco he said: "King Hassan had no regard for time. He was constantly late for engagements with the Queen.

“In fact he managed to keep the Queen waiting for an hour before he managed to arrive aboard Britannia for a state banquet. The Queen wasn’t very amused!”

[quote]

King Hassan had a history of this. It was no secret.

> [@](#):
>
> In another letter dated May 3 1982, Burrell tipped off Pead about the movements of the Queen in her planned visit to Australia—hoping to fix a date with his lover.

Once again they offer no proof that her movements were discussed. You could assume that she would be in a certain city at a certain time, but those details would be public anyway.

> [@](#):
>
> Even the Queen’s corgis weren’t safe.

Safe from what, exactly?

[quote]

In a leering note dated Aug 24 1980 from Balmoral he wrote: “I am about to fall into my bed, after having a bath, with two of my dearest friends— they are both girls!! Don’t worry! They are two of the Queen’s corgis. In fact they are puppies and so sweet and cuddly.”

[quote]

so he looks after the corgi’s. He was a Royal Aide! That was his job!

> [@](#):
>
> The couple shared a favourite song—Shena Easton’s Bond theme For Your Eyes Only. Burrell bought a copy of the recording for Pead as a goodbye gift after a romantic holiday with him in Australia over New Year’s eve 1981.

And what does this have to do with wether he is trustworthy or not?
the only thing it says is that he had a Gay lover that he bought a present for. Hardly a crime, but any innuendo that disparages Burrell will do for the NOTW.

> [@](#):
>
> Burrell was delighted when Pead left a pair of blue underpants in his Palace bed.He wrote on Sept 11 1980: “Your little briefs are the closest I could get to you. Did I ever tell you that they hadn’t been washed.”

He has a pair of his lovers underpants. and no proof they were left in his “Palace” bed.
the NOTW is as good a source as the Weekly World News.

I would think him having a heterosexual male lover would be more shocking.

I think you left off “Gay Man Enjoys Listening To Sheena Easton SHOCK”, but apart from that a good assessment of the sheer inanity of the whole situation, **Twisty**.
