Overheard in the “Prison Break” writer’s room. “Oh! Oh! I know. Let’s have it look like he’s going to the house were the cons are and BAM! it turns out he’s really gone to the girl’s house.” “But, dude, we do that in, like, every episode. People are gonna’ start thinking we’re lame and stuff.” “Ah fuck it! It’s just television. Type it up.”

Now we just try and predict the twist. Would it be “someone else’s house” or “they already left”? I predicted someone else’s house, but I didn’t guess that it was hers.
I’m liking the FBI guy’s dark side. I guess he did get Abruzzi on purpose, didn’t he?

Wasn’t it more like “old KKK here” or something?
Obviously he wasn’t going to the house where the cons were digging but I didn’t think about him showing up at the girl’s house. So that part of it was a nice twist.
I wish Haywire would just die or something. His little vignettes are really annoying and a waste of screen time.

I don’t think so. I think he was pissed at Tweener showing him up the way he did. Tweener made him look very bad in front of everyone.

Ah, but remember the criticism he got after the Abruzzi kill, questioning why he didn’t take Abruzzi out before he went into the motel room. Mahone snapped back something about how the criticiser should grab a weapon if he thought he could do better, but it could very well be that Abruzzi’s death was deliberate and Mahone is planning on offing all the escapees.

Agreed, but it would be pretty damned cool if he DID manage to raft all the way to Holland, with the dog. Boy, wouldn’t Michael and his full-body tattoo and intricate plans be embarassed, then.

I’m wondering if and how they’ll integrate Haywire back into the main story. Until then, I just accept his vignettes for what they are…comic relief. They serve the same purpose that having Kim Bauer chased by jaguars served. Only they do it better.
**Otto** , you make a good point, regarding Mahone. That said, I’m not fully convinced he wouldn’t have wanted Abruzzi alive. Had Abruzzi surrendered…well, that’s getting into the realm of 'what if?" and its rather pointless when talking about a TV show.

Sorry for showing up late. Just got caught up. Not many posts in this thread. Does that spell doom for the show?
I didn’t think Tweener was going to die, because he wasn’t in prison for murder. Blows that out of the water. Now they’ve established any one of these guys can die, which makes me really nervous about Sucre.
Can’t help but like Paul Kellerman, dirty rotten Secret Service guy. I’ve always liked him, even though he’s so despicably evil. He’s just likable. I suspect he’s going to have a change of heart and help Sara escape & maybe figure out what’s going on. He’s maybe had enough kill, kill, killing on behalf of the President. He’s destined to die eventually, being so evil. But there are worse things than if he were to stick around for awhile.
I really don’t mind Haywire. Comic relief, but with a bit of an edge. He just might ax murder you, but all he really wants is to get to Holland. It’d be funny if at the end of the series, we see him & his new dog living happily in Holland. Or someplace that looks like Holland, in his deranged mind.
Agent Mahone is way out there. How’s he going to explain Tweeners little accident? “Oh, he was handcuffed but somehow managed to get my gun and shoot himself six times with my gun before I could do anything! What, he has no gunshot residue on his hands? Gosh. I dunno. Bummer, huh?”

No, it’s “He attacked me and got ahold of my backup gun. Luckily, before he could fire, I was able to shoot him.” He planted a different gun in Tweener’s hands. It’s still weak but since no one is really going to care all that much about a dead con, he’s likely to get away with it.

Regarding his motivation, didn’t he say something like “I really have nothing against you, kid … but they do.” before putting a few rounds in Tweener’s chest? Doesn’t that indicate he’s involved in the conspiracy to … um … whatever?

I hadn’t thought of that. I figured Mahone just can’t handle being outsmarted. But now that you mention it, who are “they?”
Maybe “they” are the other voices in his head.
