# Private Message Length Limit

Would there be any way to have private messages be able to be as long as thread posts?

The moderated debates thing I would like to run becomes difficult when full-length posts can’t be traded behind the scenes first.

**TubaDiva** changed the PM message limit from 1000 characters to 5000, so go ahead and try again.
