# private messaging disabled

was just updating my profile and such, and clicked on “private messages” up came a page whcih stated “your administrator has disabled your private messaging”

I went back and checked to see if I had unticked that option, but no, it’s there.  
Is there a reason whay my private messaging has been disabled?  
Or is it the same for everyone?

please advise

It’s the same for everyone. The board’s server already has enough to do without supporting private messaging functions.
