Pro-abortion debate

I believe China still forces abortions on people after they have one child regardless of what stage the pregnancy is in. Although I think they relaxed that procedure. Too bad, it would be ever so much fun to use late term fetuses in a slingshot against pro-life fundamentalist activists who often try using that shock tactic on the streets.

“HEY! We are pro-lifers. See this late term fetus we got from this surgery clinic!”

“Yeah, so what!” Pro-choice militants arm their slingshots with fetuses and start pelting the pro-lifers.

“OUCH! That was our shock tactic! That isn’t nice using our main weapon against us!”

Hahahah that would be so funny. The exploitation of the fetus from both sides. It seems the pro-choicers currently have it right whereas the pro-lifers on the street have it wrong. If you are whining that all human life is precious and life begins at conception don’t go flouting around a corpse of a human to support your views. That has about as many illogical loopholes as Bjorn on a bad day.

How was that for a hijack?

Well, what would you do if someone killed a member of your family in process of looting their supplies in circumstances of limited and dwindling resources? Would you then go gunning for them to seek revenge and begin a nice little blood feud? Or would you say “Shucks, Junior was wrong to steal, even if he was hungry, let that be a lesson. Now move over.”

It’s all about quality of life and quality of death, Ender. “Live well and die off.”

I’m not going to be drawn into a hypothetical debate about what might happen if little Valjean manhattan gets caught up in your Malthusian nightmare.

I’m simply pointing out that when people are arguing about crime and accidental shootings and kids and all the other stuff they argue about in gun control threads while ignoring the “oppose tyranny” reason for owning guns because it’s too far out there, they should know that there is a person on these very boards who seriously believes in forced abortion, and that there are entire countries which enforce the practice.

And that is why you can’t have my gun.

. . . Valjean?

Should I rename the anderling to Javert?

I don’t want you gun, manny. If you recall what I wrote a few posts above this one:

You reaction is one of the reasons why I would object to armed forced abortions, so you don’t have to be concerned about gunmen coming to your door and taking your pregnant females to the abortionist against their will. You would, however, not receive tax exemptions for your offspring and would be fined quite highly for non-compliance, among other possible penalties.

So whether the manhattan homestead is filled with racks of guns or not is mostly irrelevant, IMHO

here’s a thought.

it’s not sctually OVERCRoWDING (number of people per square foot of habitable space) that is the problem. it’s poor use of resources.

and you know which countries pollute more, use most resources, waste most energy etc etc?

the first world countries with an average of 2.4 children per household. very slow population growth. lots of old people.

so here’s the deal.

stop EVERYONE in europe, australia, and north america from having ANY kids, kill off the elderly at 65 and let the third world continue as it is.

the planet would be better off for it.

not very appealing is it?

face it bub, it’s not the third world with the problem, it’s the first.
“forced abortion” is being forced to make, what, for many, is an immoral choice, because of economic reasons.

that’s not the best solution to the problem.

and vasectomies after the birth of baby Number 1 would be MUCH more efficient than either abortion or female sterilisation. with fewer health risks and societal implications.

and a vasectomy is a much less emotive choice than an abortion, non?

also a much less emotive topic for debate.
