**Highlights of Roman Reigns’ three-year-long Universal Championship reign** 1. Roman debuting his new Tribal Chief entrance music before retaining against Daniel Bryan and ending his WWE career 2. Last Man Standing match with Kevin Owens, Royal Rumble 2021 This was peak Thunderdome era and they took full advantage of the empty arena. There was an unfortunate botch where Paul Heyman couldn’t get Roman loose from a pipe Owens had handcuffed him to and the ref tried to slyly stop the count, but other than that it was an excellent match that brought the best out of both men. > [@ekedolphin](#): > > Kurt Angle was the only person who made Hogan tap out. Last Man Standing match with Kevin Owens, Royal Rumble 2021 3. Brock lifts up the entire ring in attempt to defeat Roman, SummerSlam 2022 A complete mess of a match, and a really good example of “sports entertainment” style “flash over substance” booking. And to be clear I mean that sincerely no sarcasm or joking. Whatever other complaints I might have about WWE, they definitely know how to create moments when they want to. ---

This was the first time Roman had been pinned since 2019, and as he’d been seemingly established as invincible by this point, it was an important moment in which one of the first cracks in his armor broke. ---
