I haven’t gotten any notifications about my subscribed threads since early AM - which is pretty unusual. Anyone else notice this today? ---

I’m just a mod and don’t have access to the server, so anything I say about it will be guesswork. It seems to me that the e-mail server was hosed somehow. E-mail notification for things like subscribed threads weren’t being sent out. Thread reports weren’t being e-mailed to us (though we have other ways of viewing those, so no real biggie there). Confirmation e-mails for registration weren’t sent out, so no one new was able to register here over the weekend. The one thing I can say for certain is that it had nothing to do with Viglink (sorry to disappoint those of you who want one more reason to complain about it 😉 ). Everything seems to be working now, but any official announcement for that would have to come from someone like Tuba or Jerry. ---

Thanks for addressing the problem so quickly (even if it just fixed itself). I’m running a fantasy football draft in The Game Room for the next 10 days or so that relies heavily on PMs (and the rapid notification of same), so this had me pretty anxious. The timing couldn’t have been worse for me. ---

Every so often the email server just stops working. Just stops. No sign of a problem, nothing we can see in advance that says “The email server is going to stop working.” It just stops working. And when we find it and tell the folks at the server farm they reset it and it starts working again. Sorry for your inconvenience. Glad it’s back up. ---
