# Problem with new Kindle touchscreen paperwhite

It was a gift. At first I was really excited because the high-contrast screen is much easier to see; but now I find that the touchscreen is a real PITA.

I read mostly science fiction anthologies. With my old kindle, I would “go to…” the table of contents, select the story I want to read, then click it, and the story would open.

My new kindle, when I try to do that, stubbornly refuses to do anything but open the page of annotations for a given story. I have to get to where I want by tediously turning pages one at a time. AAARRRRRGH.

Help?
