# Problem with the search box on SD?

I haven’t seen this question on this or other message boards, so it may just be my computer/browser, but is anyone having problems with the search box on the homepage? I will type in a word and click “search” and nothing but a blank white screen appears. I have tried this in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I’ve never had this problem before, and I imagine the website gurus know about it if it’s a website issue, but just wondering.

I still can’t get anything but a white screen to come up when I click “search!” Is anyone else having this problem? (And if this the wrong board, I apologize: I’m new–please direct me to the right one.)

Yeah I’m getting that too.  
You could just use google while it’s broken, type site:straightdope.com followed by a space, then your search terms.

Thanks Hairy Bob! 🙂 Over on the “questions about SDMB” board Ed confirmed that they have been having issues all day. I figured those in charge were aware, but I was surprised that no one else had commented to say if they were having the same issue or not.

I just did a search for every post **Hairy Bob** made in thepast six months. I got 25 results.  
All is currently well searchwise from where I sit, but the board has been flaking out badly at times for several days now.
