# Problem with Windows Media Player

I’ve just updated my Windows Media Player, and i seem to have a problem that i can’t solve. Whenever i open a video file (mpeg, avi, etc.) the image is way too dark. I go into the video controls and increase the brightness, but as soon as i open a new file the brightness control returns to its default setting and the picture is too dark again.
It’s a pain in the ass to have to adjust the brightness every time i open a new file. Is there a way to increase the brightness permanently?
