I’m type-2 diabetic and I can’t eat gluten. Both of them are a nuisance but not too bad. My SO snores at night and I actually find the sound comforting.

But my SO also suffers from depression, and I spend a lot of time comforting her and helping her through problems. I’m so glad I don’t suffer from depression.

> I’m glad I do not have a prolasped anything. I keep seeing these commercials for vaginal meshes, and although I have no idea what they are, I do not want to have to get one.

Uggh - I see this commercial pretty often too, and it creeps me out. I keep telling myself to google it and figure out what it is already and I kind of chicken out every time. I’m rarely squeamish, but for some reason, this gets to me. “Mesh”? Urrrgghh. Nope, not gonna look it up unless I have to!

I’m glad my mom is alive. My dad too, but what prompts this is my husband, whose mother passed away when he was 4. He’s a wonderful man, but there are little moments where that loss becomes evident, and I feel so sad for him and wonder whether he’d be much different had she lived. What’s sweet, though, is he’s told me that he thinks of my mom as his - if he needed motherly advice, she’s the one he’d go to (rather than his father’s SO, who is a great woman, but who has never been a mother figure to him).

I have a good family and good in-laws, and I’m glad I don’t have to deal with some of the crazy that people on these boards, or even my sister, has to deal with when it comes to in-laws.

I’m glad at least one of my cats is a lap cat. Life is good, with a cat on your lap 🆒

> I’m glad I don’t own any pets. I generally like animals, but cats and dogs kept inside your home will destroy your home, it’s value, and general appeal to visitors.

I’m glad my dog doesn’t mess up my house. I don’t keep him in a crate. I haven’t had to clean up after him in nearly six years. He 100% reliably does his business outside, no exceptions. When I leave him alone in the house, I can return home confident that he hasn’t chewed anything up nor eliminated himself inside. Outside of shedding a fair amount of fur, which is easily vacuumed, he has not put excessive wear or tear on my home that would destroy its value, or appeal to visitors.

Besides, who would want the kind of visitors that would care about that sort of thing? Those are the people I make stand out on my deck while I talk to them through the screen door.

I agree about the migraines. I get really bad headaches all too frequently, but I know they’re not migraines. It prompts a lot of sympathy in me for migraine sufferers - take my bad headache that just about incapacitates me, and multiply that - no thanks.

With friends like you…🙂 ETA: Oops - I mis-read your post as though you were actually saying that ABOUT your friend! Never mind.

Not to be all political or mean or anything, but I’m glad at this point that I’m not a US American. You guys are in a world of shit, you’re going to continue being in a world of shit, and your decision-makers are busy arguing over the colours of the deck chairs on the Titanic as it slowly sinks.

I’m really glad I don’t have any food allergies. I have a couple of friends with the full range of nut allergies and it’s so tough just buying snacks and cooking when they’re over that I can’t imagine how it is for them, having to be that vigilant all the time.

I’m also glad that I’ve never had to deal with unemployment. I got a job I really like right out of college and have been at it for nearly four years.

I am glad that I value the love and companionship of my pets over any monitary value.

I’m glad that I don’t have any allergies that would stop me from enjoying the things that I love, like food & animals.

I’m VERY, VERY glad that I don’t have kids.
