You know… it would have been nice if clicking on “News” from the home page could have given us an update on the progress… nothing long, just a terse prognosis… Ah, well. Welcome back. ---

Anyone else notice that the address has changed? Instead of [www.straightdope.com](http://www.straightdope.com) , there are numbers up there, 204.95.48.199 . Is that what we have to type from now on if we want to link to another thread? It’s interesting, because [www.straightdope.com](http://www.straightdope.com) resolves to 204.95.48.88, not 204.95.48.199. Don’t know if they’re two different machines, or one machine with two IP interfaces. I suspect the former, because the server at 88 seems to be redirecting to 199. There’s no IN-ADDR reverse lookup for either host, according to both CEREBUS and KITTEN, the cognizant nameservers. So – beats me. - Rick ---

Ray (like that phrase ‘. . .until death do us part’ prevents divorce)
