# Problems With New Software

Since the new software was installed here at the boards, I haven’t been able to post from school, but I have been able to post from home and I can read the boards from school. But when I try to create a new post or reply to an existing one, I hit “Submit” and it asks me to sign in. I enter my name and password, and it comes up with an error page that says the thread is unspecified or something. It seems as if it can’t remember anything I did on previous pages. Any ideas on what’s going on and/or how to solve it?

Browser version / OS?  
Have you tried to log in from the [home page](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/index.php) and then go to a thead and Reply?

You got to turn those cookies on, my dear.

I have checked your settings, you had “remember user name and password” clicked to “NO.” I changed it to YES.

Bet it works now.
