# Problems with password...

Dunno if this is the right place for this post - sorry if it should be somewhere else.
I’ve been trying to log in to edit my posts but when I type my password I run out of space. I got the auto e-mail wossname to send me my user name and p/word, but it looks like the p/word is 14 characters long. I guess this must be over the limit, but it worked when I first signed on (which is why I can post this message).
I tried to change the password in the “Profiles” section, but it asks for the old one first, which doesn’t work!
Is there a way around this, or do I need to choose a new user name and re-register?

Damn - I told that goat to keep it between me and her… Ya just can’t trust ruminants these days.
Thanks for the info - I’ll mail tubadiva and see if that’ll set me right.

Can’t be done. We cannot edit our posts. The only people that have access to that facility are Moderators and Administrators. If you really need something changed mail a Mod. of the particular forum and if it’s a reasonable request (i.e. **yer** not changing the intent of the original post) they’ll be happy to oblige.
As for the long password **kabbes** is dead on the mark mail **TubaDiva**.

Another point of info, you cannot edit your posts. We’ve disabled that feature as we’re afraid it may lead to abuse. We don’t want anyone to be able to go back and change their words during the course of debate.

Ah, that explains that then. Didn’t realise it had been switched off.
Guess my shabby grammar will be preserved for all the world to see 🙂
Anyways, I’ll see about getting a new password so’s I can log on from another machine.
