I apologize if this has been asked before:

So, say theoretically I thought I broke my pinky toe mid summer, but I never saw a doctor for it, because I’ve broken toes before and the doctor never did anything for me. However, now that it’s September and my toe should be completely healed, there is a bulge on the outside of my foot and it hurts above the toe… more like I might have broken a bone in my foot and it healed over. If this was true how would the doctors fix this?
