Studying for my final exams (well, I did spend some time studying for my shiatsu final…) Writing the final draft for my English paper- it’s essentially complete, and I think I have an A paper in the works. It’s not due until Wednesday, but if I turn it in Monday, I get an extra ten points. I like extra points. Laundry. Doing my reading assignment for my Swedish massage class. Giving my cats their baths (they escaped the other night and got all filthy). ---

I should be studying for my exams all next week. Luckily, they’re mostly easy classes, so it’s not as big of a deal for me to slack a little today and recover from working all night, coming home, and sleeping 6 hours in bright daylight. The worst part of this is going to be making my sleep schedule normal again so I can wake up for my exams. ---

I should be starting dinner about now. I know it seems early to be thinking about that at 3:18 PM, but I’m attempting stuffed peppers with onions, cumin and ground turkey plus biscuits, and this may take awhile. I’m actually trying to cook more insead of just eating raw hotdogs over the kitchen sink. My successes have been, er, \* limited\* to say the least, but the boyfriend’s a real trouper and will eat pretty much anything I make… even totally burned Red Baron Frozen Pizza! Pretty much everything else I need to have done immediately is done. Well, okay, I need to clean out one of my bedroom closets, but hey, that can wait while I cruise the boards… ---

The only thing I should be doing is e-mailing my professor to explain why I still haven’t finished one of my web sites for that class. (Absolutely not my fault: I have a fantastic template set up. But I’ve received no content from the agency despite giving them firm deadlines several times during the semester and having them blow through them.) Right now, the latest promise I have from them is that they’ll contact me between 10-12 Monday morning. That’s _contact_ me, not even really give me content. The professor does know that I’ve had problems all semester. Beyond that, I’m at work, planning for my day of cleaning & hanging out with friends tomorrow. And I’m wishing for a nap. ---

I’m so glad I’m long out of school - I don’t have any papers to write. 😛 I fully intended to get the house cleaned today and to pack the dining room and wrap and freeze the chicken I bought yesterday. My husband will be home tonight and I don’t want him to see the disaster that is the house. What I have done:[ul]Laundry - last load is in the dryer Packing - most of the stuff from the hutch is packed. I need to leave a few pieces in there for when we show the house Cleaning - I vacuumed the office and cleaned the cat box Errands - I got all the stuff on my list, then went out again and got some cucumbers so I can make my cucumber-onion salad[/ul]I really need to get into gear. I think I’ll head into the kitchen and get that mess taken care of before I come back and post. ---

I’ve got thirty-odd research papers to grade from my freshman comp students, plus a paper on More’s _History of Richard III_ and Cavendish’s _Life of Wolsey_ that needs to be finished, and another paper on Otway’s _Venice Preserv’d_ that needs to be started (it’s supposed to be twenty pages. Currently, it exists as a highly-scattered page of notes). ---

I should be: Applying for a couple of scholarships. Writing college application essays. Finishing a biography on Willie O’Ree (first black NHL player, African-Canadian, Canadian-American, currently a resident of San Diego, formerly a San Diego Gulls (local minor-league hockey team) star–I chose him to write it on) for my Sociology class. I think I actually have enough done to turn it in, but I was supposed to refine it from my first draft and I really haven’t. Due Monday. There’s a system in my Sociology class by which a B paper gets a B+ if turned in the school day before it’s due, a B if turned in the day it’s due, and a B- if turned in the day after it’s due. So I can turn it in on Tuesday for a nominal point penalty. Probably going to do some crammage at the UCSD libraries with my best friend the day before it’s due, like I did for the last biography for that class (which I wrote about George Peter Murdock, a famed former sociologist/anthropologist with absolutely no ties to San Diego AFAIK–I chose him too). ---

I should be going on lendingtreedotcom to get started on a home equity loan and re-financing my mortgage, but financial matters paralyze me and I’m not sure what my exact numbers are or what official papers I need. I’m sure the website will explain this but I’m waiting til Sunday. ---

I should be studying for one of my four finals next week,(already had a pair) or making dinner or cleaning the house. But I’m rather content to starve to death in my own filth, as uneducated as possible so long as I have the SDMB. ---

Well, I got most of my reading assignment done, and finished my final draft of my paper. All I have to do is prepare my works cited page and I’m good to go. I should have studied more for my anatomy final, but that isn’t until the week after next, so I have plenty of time. Won’t be doing the last-minute cramming thing, I promise. I’ll study a little bit each day until I know it all… ---
