Nothing currently but I just wanted to share an idea my husband and I have that is slightly related to procrastination. If (when(?)) he becomes a wealthy director, we have decided that we want to sponsor a scholarship for slackers. All college scholarships are always for good grades or physical disabilities or something. We want one for the other class of people who need money–the lazy slackers. The rules are that entries will be due by, say, May 15th. Any entries that arrive by that deadline will be thrown out. The award will go to the person that makes the most creative application. Of course, if it is complete, it will be rejected. Minimalism is not the same as slacker so anyone turning in a piece of paper with just his name will be disqualified because we all know that slackers can put in tremendous amounts of effort into something they enjoy (Playstation, taking a dump, rolling houses and egging cars) Anyone want to apply? I’ve got a container of - well, I think it was mashed potatoes - from Thanksgiving in my 'fridge. I think I heard whispering coming from it last week…something about a plot to colonize the crisper. The probably won’t get around to it, though. And in college I had a Christmas wreath on my door until May - when housekeeping finally took it down and threw it away for me. * * * Applying computer technology is simply finding the right wrench to pound in the correct screw. ---
