I just saw a commercial for this product: [http://www.wipenew.com/](http://www.wipenew.com/)

Anyone try this? I’m looking for something to restore my headlight covers.

ETA. Amazon reviewers are evenly split between one star and five stars.

The responses at the [asseenontvonsale](http://www.asseenontvonsale.com/cleaning/wipe-new/) website are definitely mixed.

I haven’t heard anything good about Wipe New other than their own commercials. AFAIK, it’s pretty much an expensive alternate to Armor All.

If your headlights are cloudy, yellowed or scratched, you really want something to restore them, like [this from 3M.](http://www.amazon.com/3M-39045-Headlight-Renewal-Protectant/dp/B004GFTC0E)

Good suggestion. Thanks.

Knowing nothing about the product, that’s a good sign to run away. Manufacturers can astroturf themselves 5-star ratings, but you know the 1-star ones are from actual customers.

Try reading Rob Cockerham’s experience with restoring his headlights.

(in the end he finds out that toothpaste works just as well)
