**Rold Gold Prezel Rods** are not the best prezel rods. The no-name-brand sold at my school(I’m a teacher) for fundraisers for $1.00 a bag are the best I’ve ever had. ---

Generic convenience store “Nyquil,” called something like “Nite-Time,” annihilated my cold symptoms AND knocked my ass out far better than the original. Oddly enough, the only reason I tried it was b/c the store clerk recommended it. (I was a regular so he felt free to give me recommendations.) I haven’t found it recently because I moved, so I no longer go to that store, but if/when I find it… I’m so buying the entire stock. ---

I’m definitely in the minority, but the lack of a radio on an MP3 player doesn’t bother me in the least – radio is pathetic in my area. Heck, it’s the reason I got an MP3 player in the first place. Speaking of food, I think that Hershey’s products are vastly inferior to other chocolates on the market, particularly those manufactured by independent candy companies. ---

I mean, Linotypes are nice and all that, and they certainly came to market first and were well known and all, but Intertype made a superior machine when it came to linecasters. ---

Malt-O-Meal Colossal Crunch \> Cap’n Crunch. Well, pretty much any off brand is better than Cap’n, which is odd, since Cap’n is the best cereal ever made, and a contender for best food. Second on the ipods. They aren’t bad… Perhaps not even inferior, but they are grossly overhyped, which has to count for something. And radio is a must on any mp3 player i own. It breaks up my static playlists, and you don’t get news with mp3. ---

Nite Time is the Perrigo brand of NyQuil-like generics, and is carried (with specific store labels) by most of the big national and regional chains as their in-house brand (Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, Kroger, et al.), and I ran across it in non-store-specific generic labeling recently, for sale at independent shops. It’s the same everywhere, so you should be able to find it pretty easily wherever you move. Do be aware, though, that Nite Time (as well as NyQuil) was reformulated with a different decongestant when PSE was taken behind the counter-- if you haven’t bought some in a couple of years, you might find its effectiveness may differ from your prior use. ---

Go into most big drugstores, and you’ll find nearly every name-brand drugstore item right next to the store-brand equivalents. Bandages, painkillers, most kinds of pills, and so on. Check the labels for ingredients; the house brand is as good, and often better than the bigshot brand. Long ago, KY jelly was the sexual lubricant. Aside from grocery store substitutes, it was the only one you could get. Now, KY sells several variations, none of which is as good as the competition (Astroglide, among others.) I’m not touching Harley-Davidson. People get ferocious over that.:eek: I like Sharpie felt-tip markers. Some folks prefer Shar-Pei. They leak a lot of slimy goop, and it’s hard to sign your name with one. They snuffle, purr, and snore.
