I just can’t relate to this. I would feel incredibly uncomfortable being cuddled by a stranger in a situation where sex is off the table. Cuddling with loved ones is good, and cuddling with potential lovers (as part of the process of trying to seduce them) is good; but this? No thanks. ---

I don’t know why but it sounds kind of enticing to me. I guess I’m just not a sexual person and I love a good snuggle. It would be odd with a stranger, but I am guessing she isn’t a stranger for long. Of course I wouldn’t pay. ---

Good for her! I wish that American society wasn’t filled with so much ridiculous Puritanical sexual terror, such that idiots can’t understand that yes, it is possible to share close space with someone and just have it be comforting. I’d consider trying it if I was in the area and on my own. I get very stressed being in a strange place by myself, and the thought of taking a nap next to another safe, warm, female body sounds nice. ---

Drive to their house, then pay them what amounts to be a pretty good sum in order to cuddle with them? I think it defines a new desperation low. or maybe I’m just jealous because no one would be willing to pay _me_ to cuddle with them. ☹ ---

Old news. Let’s see, it hit HuffPostUK in [May](http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/11/05/jackie-samuel-professional-cuddler-35-per-hour_n_2074962.html). Then HuffPostUS in [July](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/17/jackie-samuel-professional-_n_1680428.html), and also something called the “Straight Dope” [at that time](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=658546). Totally agree. A message therapist is more intimate than cuddling fully clothed. I liked the photo of her reading to someone. Elderly that lost their spouse would be comforted by this service.
