Profiting from hobbies - I’ve sold some of my crafts at craft fairs. (“Crafts” in this case means small handmade objects - apparently this usage of the word is not universal, as I [learned in a thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/archive/index.php/t-707034.html) once.) ---

I dunno, I don’t know if people in that thread were actually acting like jerks, or if they were merely of that mindset that people who use words differently or do things differently from them are incorrect (something I see a little too much of on message boards sometimes.) In other news, I should go to the bank today to get some travel insurance. My sister and I are planning to go to Toronto next week. ---

That’s how I understand it, but there are probably nuances and other uses I’m completely missing. ---

**ruble** , if I’m not mistaken, it’s winter where **bat boy** lives, hence his chilly morning. 🙂 **butters** , my sister takes her herd of chihuahui in for mani/.pedis too. She says it’s a small price to pay not to have them tangled in everything or hating her for doing it herself. 😛 Getting stuff done here at irk. I should be finished packing everything that can be packed ahead in the bedroom this evening. Next is the dress clothes closet. That’s where some serious purging will be done. ---

Still irking for a bit. I am taking tomorrow off to go to Miami with the hubs for his cardiologist visit. That is one trip I dread. Three hours for what is usually a 15 minute appointment. Then three hours back home. **Red** My Louie’s nails are all black so there is no way to know where the quick starts plus he squirms even with two people doing it. It only cost $14 which is a small price to have it done. He has never been quicked but one would not know it the way he acts. ---

Her dog guide would only let Mrs. Plant (v.1.0) cut her nails. Screamed and kicked (Cindy was a golden retriever) when anyone else attempted it, but rolled over for Mrs. Plant (v.1.0). ---

We take Higgs to a local pet shop where they have a resident groomer. \*\*FCD \*\*used to bathe her himself, but we can get her clean and clipped and all that for $30 - just getting her nails done is $15, so it’s a good deal. Supper was Amish corn, 'maters, and 'lope. I have an uncontrollable urge to put on a bonnet! 😃 Early sleepage tonight, methinks. ---

Now it’s down to walking around and picking up all the crap that was apparently beneath their notice. One painful mistake: we had a box carefully organized of important furniture parts. Since we’ve lost these in moves before THIS TIME by gum, we were prepared. I had it labelled, and set aside. They packed it into the truck. By the time I realized it, it would have been taking out the load to reach it. Blurf. I’m going for ice cream now, because I am hot and I want ice cream. Painters start tomorrow, so I must finish. I want to find a hot tub and sleep in it. ---
