[/QUOTE] At least we’re in good company. I’m still waiting to get DH’s SSDI and the $255 [del]insult[/del] death benefit. I’m about to become (more?) bionic with the implantation of a cardiac monitor next week. My EP described the process of how the tiny thing is essentially injected, and I joked that it sounds like how dogs are microchipped. :eek: He didn’t exactly disagree with my assessment. At least it’s easy - takes about 15-30 minutes and then I drive home. Something \*far \*more entertaining to look forward to is that I’m going to the Weird Al Yankovic show in about two weeks. ---

Apparently we had rain overnight, and it’s lingered in the form of humidity. I swear, if you go outside and take a deep breath, you risk drowning!! I think the word is _oppressive_. \*\*FCD \*\*had his MRI yesterday and he’ll see his doc tomorrow. We’ll find out if there’s anything other than surgery to give him relief. I think the answer is “Probably not.” Dammit. So, buncha work to do today - I should probably get started. Happy Wednesday. ---

I have to write an email explaining to a nice customer lady that our new online scheduling option is borked and unfortunately, we cannot charge her only $265 for what’s actually about $500 worth of work _without_ the travel charge I’d need to tack on because she’s more than 30 miles away. Nothing she asked for is something we don’t do, but we don’t do it for that new online price, and we certainly don’t do it that far away. But now we know to change the wording on the web pricing. I believe that’s going to be the most exciting thing to happen today, but I could be wrong. Last night Roomie and I met a friend and had ice cream for dinner, then I sat down and played an Old Skool PC game for more hours than I care to admit. Tonight I plan to do it again, probably minus the ice cream part. Not because I don’t want ice cream, but because I’m enough of a grownup to know I probably shouldn’t have ice cream for dinner two nights in a row.
