They got a 48 at their test screening. Even crappy movies get at least a 55. Bwahahahahahaha!! It was great to see the looks on Kyle and Effram’s faces when they found out the test screening flopped, especially when they were arrogantly predicting that they would score in the 90s. I’ve really grown to hate these guys, especially Effram.

I do feel bad for Erica, though. They really screwed up her screenplay and she deserved better. I also think that Shia LaBouf is going to be a real star. Everyone has been saying from the start that he’s the strongest thing in the movie. Matt Damon called him a “Godsend” and said he reminded him of a young John Cusack. I would have liked to see Shia in a a straight forward comedy but it sounds like these two “directors” have really cranked up the cheese factor to a point where it can’t be fixed. Oh well. Shia will get more work and i hope Erica sells more screenplays, but I hope Effram and Kyle end up flipping burgers.

Yet, even after the devestating score - they joked about having a day to try to forget the advice given by the more experienced.

They are their own worst enemies.

I was disappointed that they didn’t really talk about what the viewers thought was wrong with te movie, considering the good showing it seemed to get according to those who had experience at this. All they gave us the scores and some puzzlement.

**kka** - Exactly, these two twits have had every opportunity to check their egos at the door and realize that they do not know better than everyone else.

I was overjoyed with the Miramax Director of Marketing tore into them on the conference call right before the test screening. To paraphrase “ **IF** you ever make another movie with Miramax, this will not be tolerated!” MUHAHA!! It reminded me of Rick Schwartz calling their bluff early in the season over the lead actress bit - you can be replaced.

I actually got upset at the testing when the audience was laughing, etc. I thought to myself “Noooo! No, no, no!! Their ego will know no boundries if they score well!!!” Heh, I almost wept with joy at the 48.

God, I love to hate those two.

Maybe they should all do a group hug…

I like how they openly admit what a dog Stolen Summer was.

The reliance on test screenings is sickening. Everyone on the team in the room thinks it played well, but because a random assortment of Losangelenos didn’t score it high enough, they’re going to cut it until it’s unwatchable crap. Did you see the previews? Trying to make it a full blown comedy and cutting all the drama? Good old Hollywood.

I recently saw the trailer for “Shaker Heights” in an actual theatre, and no, it didn’t look anything like the movie we’ve been watching get made. But trailers can lie, too.

I like how Efrem said something to the effect of “Fuck it. I’m done with this whole movie.” at the test screening after they heard the scores. Real mature, buddy.
