> I’m glad the school teacher one got a pass. If she had lost it would have been more to do with the luck of the client draw than anything else.

I would HATE if I went on the show and got a designer kicked off because my job or my person or my mom was boring or frustrating.

Well, my favorite’s gone. I liked Joe and his designs, but I’m pretty conservative when it comes to fashion. What worries me is I think I used to have a suit made out of his pinstriped fabric. It’s obvious the judges and I don’t move in the same circles. They said you didn’t have to wear a jacket to an interview, but I wouldn’t choose to not wear one to an interview.

Something bothered me about Korto’s jacket. You see, I’m a little -er- curvy and, when a jacket or blouse gapes open in the front like her jacket did, it tells me it’s too small for me. I woudn’t want a jacket that did that deliberately.

I didn’t like Leeanne’s jacket either, but the dress was cute and I’m glad she survived the girl’s mother. When I was fresh out of college, Mum and I didn’t agree on much, either.

As for Kenley, I liked her and her design aesthetic at first, but I’ve gone off her. OK, so she may be being given the villain’s edit, but I really didn’t like the way she was trashing one of the guy’s designs before they left the apartment.

By the way, did anyone else see Tim Gunn’s explanation for Jerrell’s hat? It seems he made it for Caitlin, but wound up wearing it himself.

I heard about that–good choice (on her part). It was a bit ridiculous…

> They had the “text to vote for your favorite designer” and I realized that there’s no one I like this season. Not their looks or their personalities. Some I dislike, some I don’t care about one way or the other, but I’m not rooting for anyone.

I’m having that problem, too. I mean, I hate Kenley because she’s so full of herself (her little late-night diatribe about how Suede is a one-trick pony was a classic example of pot, kettle, black), but I also don’t like her designs. (The belt on this last one was an awful flesh color, and when I first saw it, I thought she’d somehow made a midriff-baring dress.) But beyond that, I don’t really care who wins, as long as it’s not-Kenley.

Anyone else wonder if they rigged the selection to make sure Kenley got her mini-me and Leanne got the schoolmarm?

Was kind of wondering that, yeah. I heard that they maybe rigged or arranged things so that the opinionated, outspoken girl for the prom challenge got Christian Siriano in season four–major friction there.

Like I suspect they rigged it so Terri had to work with Keith last time.

I agree that was extremely suspect, but didn’t Tim pick their names out of a bag right in front of them?

Hah: like you’ve never played poker with marked cards. These things can definitely be rigged.

> I guess I’m the only one who didn’t like Korto’s outfit? She said she was trying to relate the jacket and dress, but I don’t see that she did. The jacket was nice, but I didn’t like that green print at all. Overall I like her designs.

I liked both the dress and the jacket, but i didn’t think they went well together.

I’m another person who was surprised that Suede got so heavily dumped on in this episode. The judges slammed his jacket, but the dress underneath was fine, and they never even mentioned it.

Kenley is really getting on my tits. The combination of her whiny voice, and her constant whining, is just a total pain in the ass. And i actually didn’t like her outfit that much this week; i particularly thought the belt was awful.

It looked like a psychedelic Brownie uniform to me. The dress itself was OK if you go in for that sort of thing, but the dull brown vest, with the flesh-colored belt OVER it? Horrible styling. Can’t believe she got that much praise for it. Kenley is talented with construction, but her taste level when it comes to actual design? I don’t do enough drugs to get it.

Kenley is a horrible, delusional bitch with no taste at all. She couldn’t tell why that reject from a Disney villian’s scrap pile was in the bottom last week? Really?

Joe’s was bad. It rightly lost…that said, Joe also had the not-thin, shortwaisted model, which (as a not-thin, shortwaisted person) is hard to fit. You need really, really, really good tailoring and as evidenced in previous weeks, Joe cannot do good tailoring in a short period of time.

I’ve always been told (by normally proportioned people, who have no clue) that I should wear wrap blouses. Whenever I try one on, it looks like she looked on the runway…which is why I don’t buy them. (either that, or the distance between my shoulders and waist is too short for the shirt so it falls down and I’m wearing nothing from the waist up). It was a horrible choice for her bodytype. But I’ll be damned if I could tell you what a good one is.

I liked the idea of Korto’s jacket - but the actual jacket itself didn’t work. Hated the dress.

Here are the collections from Bryant Park. They showed three contestants and three decoys. Joe’s lack of taste is definitely reflected in his collection. Leeanne’s is gorgeous, with a limited but lovely palette. Korto’s is…puzzling. Kenley’s is exactly what you’d expect - I hope someone laughs out loud at her crap. She’s gotten on my last nerve. Jerrell’s is my second favorite. Singular1 thinks Suede should be strangled with his Easter-on-Bad-Acid collection.

**singular1** ooh, thanks for the pics.
I like Korto’s stuff, very red carpet, nice accessories, well made and the fabrics look expensive, as a collection it was cohesive, tasteful and well thought out.
Joe’s looks like a Russian fashion house’s interpretation of Moschino- yuck!
Suede clearly decided not to bother having anyone with eyes looks at his stuff before he sent it out. Horrid.
Jerrel’s- wow, seriously ornate, not sure about all the netting, but it looks very rock and roll- I could see Kate Moss rolling out of a nightclub in it.
Leanne’s was tasteful, well made, structural and interesting, but I’m not sure if it was anything “wow”.
Kenley’s- seriously, you know that rule about taking one thing off before you leave, somone should tell Kenley to stop adding things to her dresses.“I’ll do a crazy collar, and a weird hemline, and puffy sleeves, and make it a strange length and add an extra skirt, ooh and in the cutest print…” Not tasteful, not wearable, just not nice.

I hope the final three are Jerrell, Korto and Leanne and that Korto or Jerrell win, but I have a feeling it’s Korto, Jerrell and Kenley as the final three.

Leeanne and Korto are the only two who have designs in that website’s 100 Most Fabulous looks (as voted by visitors to the site).

Suede features heavily in the 100 Most Hideous, and Joe has one in there too.

Jerrell and kenley are absent…hmmm…

I finally caught this one last night. I was actually rooting for Joe after the drag queen episode, but I had to agree, his suit was terrible. I was hoping they disliked Suede’s more, but apparently not.

I would have liked Korto’s outfit a lot more with that jacket and a different dress underneath. The beige fabric just didn’t gel with the green print, to me, but the jacket was lovely in its own way.

I liked Kenley at first with her retro style, but now she’s just a nasty little girl with one trick up her sleeve. I can’t believe it’s gotten her this far. She laughed at whatshisname, the “good taste” dude, when he got aufed and they were supposedly friends.

Oh my God, every single Suede dress looks like it was designed for [Birthday Barbie, circa 1983](http://www.1000barbies.com/021/SUC50888.JPG) (and I know because I saved up my allowance to by that doll).

I like Leanne and Jerrell’s collections best. They have a point of view, as they say, and every piece looks like it belongs to their respective collections.

One of Kenley’s dresses looks like that atrocious swan dress Bjork wore a couple years ago. Who wants to walk around looking like a giant stuffed bird? Everything else was … not wearable, either.

Joe’s is just ridiculous.

I wanted to like Korto’s more than I did. There are some weird shapes going on in her collection, and [this one in particular](http://nymag.com/fashion/fashionshows/2009/spring/main/newyork/womenrunway/projectrunwaykorto/images/3.jpg) wouldn’t look flattering on anyone, anywhere, ever.

Question - has Suede made anything with sleeves other than the jacket of doom this week? A co-worker and I noticed that he does NOTHING with sleeves, and IIRC nothing in his collection has sleeves, either.

Was Hedda Lettuce right - or does Suede not understand sleeves in general? 😕
