so all the people that DO die are proof that angels don’t exist? if something is a million to one odds and it happens a million times… it happens once. ---

If angels only intervene in manners which can be explained as natural phenomena, then they probably don’t exist. The fact is humans and other mammals can survive in the cold for a long period of time without divine intervention. If we saw angels carrying the people trapped in the Towers safely to earth, my thinking would change. And it seems like adding insult to injury to tell the relatives of people who did suffer untimely deaths, “Sorry, dudes, guess the angels didn’t give two expletives about _your_ loved ones.” ---

I wouldn’t be surprised if angels really DID show up and keep her warm, but I don’t think there’s any way it could be proven or disproven. ---

Angels seem to be like UFOs. They know everything, are all powerful, are immensely concerned about us, and yet only show up when there aren’t any reliable witnesses. You’d think just once they’d save somebody in the background of a CNN shot, but no… ---

Her losing her legs and going through this longer ordeal is SO THAT she could inspire people with her miracle, which was the angel’s original plan all along. Yes, they could have saved her earlier, or prevented it from happening, but then she wouldn’t have learned anything. I am the Wayne Gretsky of Ad hockey! ---

How would _you_ like to go through life thinking that you were one of God’s children, only to find out that your purpose in life was to be a cheap audio-visual aid for those whom God _really_ cares about, not so much a student but a throwaway lesson for the real students? :rolleyes: ---
