Heh. I was with my mom and she couldn’t find her keys. I asked her what she was wearing last time she had them and she said she already checked. Half an hour later I decided on a lark to open the closet and check inside her coat pocket. Keys! ---

The first half of your comment must be what goes through my head when I am looking for something that’s “hiding in plain sight”. I had a friend in high school who could beat the second half, though; at one point in time, he’d accidentally left his shoes in the refrigerator and the orange juice in his closet. Only took an hour or so to find it, though.
