I meant what I said. But I dont believe that is easily accomodated by joining the Army. I’d like to believe that the Army is about more than just running to other countries and policing them. I also said: _This circle of violence sees no end. If and when we leave, there is no positive possibility that Iraq will improve. The only improvement that can be measured and assured, is that of the American Citizen._ Sorry for not being clearer, but I’d prefer we take care of our own first, ---

Sorry, that post was crass jingoistic BS on my part. I know many get mad that I apologize so much, I have been trying to avoid the need to do it, with mixed results. But in this case I am sorry, if it pisses anyone off then I am sorry for that as well. I hope you will cut me some slack based on the fact that I have made it pretty clear that for personal reasons, the war is an emotional topic for me. I do my best to avoid threads concerning it, but often stupidly barge in and make an ass of myself. ---
