If you’ve EVER been tempted to start a thread titled, “Am I the ONLY One Who \_\_\_,” please think better of it. It really doesn’t matter what you put in the blank. I can already tell you, the answer is “NO.” You’re NOT the only one. “Am I the only one who thinks baseball is a stupid waste of time?” No. Lots of people do. “Am I the only one who hates CSI?” No- lots of people do. “Am I the only one who thinks Gary Coleman is sexy?” No, I’m afraid not. I wish you were, but you aren’t. “Am I the only one who likes walrus blubber on my pizza?” No, you almost certainly aren’t. - TRUST me on this- WHATEVER you love or hate, SOMEBODY in this world agrees with you. It goes without saying. There is absolutely no need to post any variation on this question here. ---

Yes! I mean… no! I mean, yes to **astorian** , and no to **Skammer!** Jesus, the pet peeve I have about this! For some reason, all those threads which are started “Am I the ONLY One Who \_\_\_\_\_” bug the hell out of me, especially since the threadstarter never is the only one! I’ve been feeling like starting a thread like this, but well… …um… …I’ve always felt like the only one thinking that way, and… …well, \*\*astorian’s[/n] right anyway. And how! ---

I don’t think it’s worth getting one’s panties in a bunch over… I’d bet that most people are just using it as shorthand for “I’m sure I’m not the only person who \_\_\_\_\_, but man, it sure seems like it sometimes. And it seems like an interesting topic to discuss” or perhaps “I would like to challenge the conventional wisdom that \_\_\_\_\_\_” Few such OP’s that I’ve ever seen actually seem to believe that they are the only person in the world who \_\_\_\_\_, or even the only doper who \_\_\_\_\_\_\_. (Although that brings up an interesting topic? Who can think of the least-contrived thing that they actually are the only person in the world to have ever done?) ---

Oh man, **Astro** , you rock. I feel good about me. I feel good about loving whale blubber on my pizza. You see, I’m one of the charter members of the **I.A.O.L.I.W.B.E.P.** ( International Association of Lactose Intolerant Whale Blubber Eating Pizzaholics ).
