Whereas in Canada, and I assume in UK, there is a specific law against identifying a juvenile offender - name or anything else that can identify them. (I.e. sometimes, name of victim and relationship.)
If you read the book “Mystic River” (made into a movie) one of the central characters in a tight-knit neighbourhood was kidnapped and raped as a child and even as an adult, is forever marked as “the kid who got away”, suffering over many nasty rumors circulating about what was done to him. The publication ban on victims legal or self-imposed, especially of sexual assault, is general thought to be a reasonable restriction to limit social backlash.
