If anyone is interested in checking out Cecil’s [second proof](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a2_087.html) that the earth is round, you’ll have a chance this Wednesday evening, October 27, when a total lunar eclipse will be visible in North and South America, as well as Europe (starting at 9:14 EDT). It is also the last total lunar eclipse for about 2 and a half years, so here’s hoping your skies are clear.
