There’s nothing illogical about what I said, Spock. It was a decision made out of annoyance. And I never called you a fanboy either- I just think you were trying too hard to be smart.
Fair enough - I always think it’s weird when people complain about the PS3 not being backwards compatible (though not nearly as weird as people who are surprised by it - this happened almost 4 years ago) and opting for a 360. Clearly you’re attached to the PS2 games and want to play them, so you’re going to end up with two consoles. And if there were any console-exclusive titles you loved on the PS2, now you’re probably not going to be able to play them. Either way, there are plenty of games on any console for people to waste all the time in the world on.
And trying to be smart is always too hard for me.
But…why? Do our answers not make sense to you? I don’t mind having two consoles, actually I have a Wii, too (though I primarily use it for Netflix streaming).
Heh, yeah- me too.
Like I said though, in retrospect, I’m WAY more annoyed by the lack of wifi and the cost of xbox gold. To continue the saying: me damn face has cost me a lot of money over the years.
I started this generation getting a used 360 off of the AVSforum. $200 got a 20gb model - it was a hell of a deal at the time. I played the shit out of that thing, and got every penny out of it. Then I saw an ad on craigslist from someone looking to trade his 40gb PS3 for a 360. I had to throw in a few games, but that was totally worth it as well (how much was I going to get for them at GameStop - $30?).
I use my PS3 for everything now - bluray, Netflix, media streaming from my home network, Pandora. Oh, and games. Can’t forget those!
(To be honest, I never had great luck connecting effortlessly via wireless on the PS3. In my new place, the router is right behind the TV so I’m connected via ethernet, and haven’t had any issues.)
