PS4- kind of disappointed

This is actually a super good point these days, where every console is all but guaranteed to come out with a ‘slim’ version at some point. I mean, you can argue a little bit that that the “original” PS3s with backwards compatibility were the superior models, but frankly, I still don’t think backwards compatibility holds a lot of value as a selling point. It’s nice from a “historic archives” standpoint, but at this stage, you can run your PS2 games on your PC pretty much of time.

Yeah, I figured I was idealizing. I do, upon reflection, have at least some rationale to offer. The PS2 was my first DVD player, and the PS3 is still my only Blu-Ray, plus there’s the Netflix. That probably helped fill in the gaps a bit. :cool:

If you got them at launch, you also had backwards compatibility, which can help. You’re still using your new console even if you’re playing old games.
