On the matter of **Pseudotriton Ruber Ruber** , and **Liberal** As some of you will remember, in February of last year, an agreement was finalized between the posters named, and I was asked by both parties to be an intermediary to provide assurance that both parties abided by the terms of the agreement, which were: **Pseudotriton Ruber Ruber** would stop posting, and not return to the board as a poster. **Liberal** would send me $500.00, and at the end of two years compliance with the agreement I would pay that amount to Peudotrition Ruber Ruber by a means acceptable to him. The disposition of the funds during that time was entirely at my discretion, as was the adjudication of the matter of compliance on both sides. I took sole responsibility for the funds, without caveat that **Liberal** might or might not complete the payment, and I took sole responsibility for completing the payment to **Pseudotriton Ruber Ruber** , and determining what means of payment would be acceptable. As of today, I would like to report that both participants are satisfied that the agreement is completed, and further, that **Pseudotriton Ruber Ruber** is welcome to resume posting, and that **Liberal** does not consider that to be an abrogation of the agreement, but rather a change of heart, and a change in the agreement, which I am satisfied does represent both parties expressed interest. The disposition of the funds is acknowledged, and the transfer is acceptable to both participants. The matter of posting at will is settled, and does not represent a failure to fulfill the agreement, by either party. Let me repeat this in terms appropriate to the Pit. It’s over. No one changed their mind about the original issues, or retracted any prior arguments, or welshed on a bet. Both parties contacted me to renegotiate the agreement independently, and voluntarily, and in my opinion did so out of a desire to put this into the past, where it might lie quietly. Welcome back, **Pseudotriton Ruber Ruber** , and I hope your experience helped you appreciate the value of your own participation here. Should anyone imply that your return is under any sort of cloud because of prior events, cite this thread. **Liberal** , way to let go. Others would do well to consider my attitude about neutrality in this matter when posting for any clarification or expansion on the OP. For my part, it’s very nice to be back. It was nice to be away for a while, useful to reconsider my posting style and habits and the response they tended to draw, good to be in touch off-line with many, many Dopers over the past year and a half, interesting to lurk but have no way of responding to posts–all of it, good. I learned much and accomplished much (amazing what not posting two or three hours a day will do to your ability to do work, travel, get things done, etc.) But it’s nice to be back. ---
