Drug abuse and addiction is an incredibly stupid and incredibly selfish action. It is purely voluntary on the person’s part, and the sad thing is this: they know it’s stupid and they do it anyway.
Yes, Hoffman was a talented actor. But he pissed it away and died on a bathroom floor with a needle in his arm because he was stupid. And I have no sympathy for that.
