Inspired by the _Porklips Now_ thread here, and a meteorite thread in GQ… Has aonyone seen a short called _Psychic Parrot_ from the 1980s? I saw this one on _Showtime Shorts_. In it a parrot, which is psychic, hence the name, predicts ‘The world will end on Friday! Midnight Friday! _krawk!_’ Panic ensues, but the world’s governments get together to build a rocket in which they will put all of the ‘important people’ (such as politicians) to fly them safely to the moon. In the meantime we see little vignettes of people waiting for The End. The last scene shows Times Square and the ball begins to drop… I’ll save the spoiler for later.
