My bf is currently living a canine version of this story. His 150+ lb German Shepherd developed a prostate infection. The vet said the best way to treat it was large doses of antibiotics twice a week…delivered directly to the site of infection. :eek: It didn’t take long for my bf to figure out that there was no way he was going to be able to single-handedly thread a tube down the penis of a dog nearly as big as he is. ---

One piddly little Fleet enema? Pffft. Amateur. Those can’t be more than 100cc. When prepping cats for colonoscopies, we have to do 500cc enemas every 4-6 hours. The first couple hundred cc isn’t such a big deal, but there’s only so much room in the average cat colon. About the 250-300cc mark, kitty tends to turn into a shit fountain. A Super Soaker should shoot water so far. Thank Og we don’t have to do those very often.
