Anyone coming tonight? Last week we had 19 teams – and no Husker Don’t. This week, I’ve attempted to scale back the difficulty level of my quiz just a tad, and I’ve opted not to repeat the “ID the album cover” round that gave HD their final, insane burst of point scoring. And I may just break out the PowerBook for scorekeeping. ---

I can’t make it this week, either – my mental calendar was messed up last week, so I forgot that this is the first Tuesday of the month, and I therefore have a meeting at church. Next week, though! Can you arrange for Husker Don’t to be gone next week, too? And every week after that? ---

It was nice to see **Saltire** there, even though he (perhaps wisely?) opted not to play solo when he saw Hüsker Don’t sitting at a table. We came in third – actually, tied for second, but lost the tiebreaking question. One rookie mistake cost us an outright second place: we didn’t listen to the entire question before writing down an answer, and so wrote “_Lost_” where we should’ve written “Hurley.” No wonder _Jeopardy!_ makes you listen to the whole thing. We also had some very tasty food, an experience so unlike the Old Pequliar it was like a mirror universe. ---

I’m out, at least for a week. I closed my finger in a car door, and tore off the last 1/2 inch. I can’t drive and I may have to have more surgery on it. They don’t expect the re-attachment to take, so it will have to be grafted. Besides, the drugs I’m taking for pain make me incredibly stupit, so I wouldn’t any help. Have fun… I really wanted to come this week. ☹ ---
