The wording of your post suggests “gay” and “normal” are antithetical. If that was not your intention, please clarify.
I have not observed any particular association of pube-shaving with homosexuality, but it seems to me more women do it than men. (Or the men don’t admit to it.)
Personally, I deny engaging in pubic grooming of any sort.

Perhaps the gentle OP meant, “Is trimming or shaving of pubic hair among males more common in the gay community?” (Though I doubt it.)
Answer: the dramatically increased accessibility to porn due to the Internet, as well as the rightfully-maligned “metrosexual” movement, have both contributed to the growing popularity of pubic hair grooming among heterosexual males.
However, from my lockerroom observations, bush (small ‘b’, thank you very much) is making a comeback.

When I was a kid, I always thought it was “pub **l** ic” hair, which confused me to no end, as it refered to the one patch of hair on your body that you’re not supposed to expose in public.

A _decrease_, sure. But must it all be removed?
Anyway, I’ve always said, if you get hair in the back of your throat or between your teeth, _you’re not doing it right._

Ahem. I’m sure this qualifies as TMI. So you know.
Well, I shave all, aside from a little triangle. Used to shave all, but it seemed like I was always getting ingrown hairs in that specific area, so I just let it grow back in.
As for guys, I like them trimmed. Unless a guy shaves every day, the stubble is unpleasant. But if they don’t trim, I end up finding his ph in my crotch when I go to the bathroom after sex. Which grosses me out.
As for females, I like trimmed or just the triangle. Oral being a big part of women-women sex, I don’t like the overgrown jungle thing. Also, I don’t like feeling like a pedophile when she has nothing down there.

I truly hope that this is not also your attitude toward nose hair…
I don’t shave or trim. BF shaves his scrotum and keeps the rest of his pubes cropped close. Honestly, I didn’t even notice until after the first few times we did the deed. I like the different textures and sensations but wouldn’t care if he decided to grow it out. If he wanted me to trim I would but he hasn’t expressed a preference.

I trim them down a bit just for neatness. I have no preference when it comes to a ladies bush or lack of one. Naked or hairy, I’ll lick it if she’ll let me. 😉

C’mon people, it’s the 21st Century. I use technology to my advantage. I simply buy some hair clippers (like what barbers use), choose the correct length of the attachment (I prefer the 1/4-inch), plug them in, and clip. It takes less than 5 minutes. I do it once every 3 weeks. It keeps me nicely maintained. And there’s really no chance of me hurting myself, unlike with scissors. Every girl I’ve ever been with for the past 10+ years appreciates that I do this.
