# Publishing pictures....

How is it legal for a person to publish pictures of someone without their permission? For instance, Larry Flynt threatening to publish pictures of the Barbi twins or something along those lines…

If the photos are of a legitimate news event, the photos can be published without your permission.

However, a picture of someone nude taken in private is not considered news in this context. But if you pose nude professionally, you will be asked to sign a release that gives the photographer the right to sell the photos.
