Well, he wasn’t going to pick a non-conservative judge any more than he is about to fix the deficit by bending over and shitting golden ducats. If you were expecting either, and disappointed with getting neither, you are an idiot. This looks like an almost one-for-one swap for Scalia, but more polite and less mean. I think it’s a solid pick. ---

When the Evil League of Evil is running the country, you take what you can get. I still want the Dems to make Gorsuch wait at least as long as the GOP made Merrick Garland wait. This remains a stolen seat, and that should be the Dems’ position going forward. ---
