It turns out that he was making a joke…basically playing on his perception of the perception of him by those at the school who will much more liberal than he was. ---

There’s no way that the Democrats can stop Gorsuch, but when Trump’s America collapses and the country rewards democrats with a president and a super majority, it needs to add two more justices along ideological lines and overpower the conservative majority. And maybe impeach a conservative or two on the bench just for good measure. ---

I am looking forward to the confirmation hearings tomorrow as well. Chuck Grassley, the Republican chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is definitely going to give him a warm opening, and point to his vast legal expertise and background Harvard Law, as well his community service in the Harvard Public Defender program. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat, as well as Al Franken and Dick Durbin are probably going to go at him the hardest, if we’re judging from history. Anyway, we’ll know by tomorrow. Grab your popcorn. ---

[He also picked up](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Gorsuch) a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Law (Legal Philosophy) from University College, Oxford in 2004 for research on assisted suicide and euthanasia. ---
