There was a plumbing supply store in Winnipeg called W.C. Potts’. There seems to be a generator firm around here called, for no discernable reason, Onan/Cummings. Yikes! One disgraceful example, also in this city, is a Chinese restaurant called Chine Toque. It literally seems to mean “China chef’s hat” (toque), but “chinetoque” is an ethnic slur (“chink”).
