If that’s the clip I’m thinking of, it’s from last year.
I’m planning on firing up my new DVD burner for this year’s show.
We always said that “Boxful of Puppies” would be a great idea for a TV show (or network!). Love that water cam!

Why is it always the poodle that starts everything? Last year and this year, it’s that poodle that’s the main troublemaker! It ignores the toys and races in circles around the other puppies. Hyper little thing!

I was disappointed in the general lack of kitty wrestling. They mostly concentrated on the toys. The puppies were much more contentious!

Who cares about the superbowl when you can watch puppies prance around and kitties run in circles?!
I caught the end of the puppie bowl last year, but remembered about it and am watching the whole thing this year. Its a hard coice deciding which is better, the puppies or the kitties.

That gray kitten was a terrorist, wasn’t he? I wonder if he’s a Russian Blue? The two tabbies were comic relief. I thought it was interesting that the black kitten seemed to like playing with the water.
The miniature poodle seemd awfully big for a mini. I know they’re bigger than toys, but still - he was as big as the springer babies.

You know what would’ve been nice? If they’d used puppies and kittens from a local shelter and then posted information about how to adopt throughout. It might raise the awareness that shelter dogs are just as cute/healthy/playful as pups from breeders, plus saved some animals from death row.

I thought the same thing, **StGermain** and they aren’t clear about where the pups come from – the producers family? Nepotism! A couple of Lab mixes, which I gave a thumbs up to – and that beagle was precious!
My sister’s cat became fascinated by the Puppy Bowl. She called me to tell me that Jasper was sitting on the couch mesmerized by the puppies playing. The half-time kitty show didn’t do it for him, though. Weird cat.
On the Cute-O-Meter, this rates way off the scale.
