While Puppy Bowl was pretty damn cute, I got a lot more enjoyment out of the Kitty Half Time show. I guess kitties just have more ways to play, and that grey kitten was CRAZY. We had a super bowl party at my dad’s house tonight, and we had more fun watching this than we did with the real game. I raced home just in time to tivo the 12AM airing, and you better believe I’m making a DVD of this to put on everytime I’m ever feeling in a bad mood.

I think the Puppybowl should have running banners through the show advertising the local animal shelters.
What kind of dog was the big white fluffy puppy? A poodle mix? Wheaten terrier?

And I did see some credits at the end about who provided the animals. It went past too fast for me to read it, but I think the kittens were provided by “something something rescue league.” So there you go.
My shepherd/lab mix, Scout, was VERY interested in the show at one point, but after several minutes she lost interest. Oddly, my springer Dottie, who ordinarily loves to watch TV, was completely oblivious.

We watched this for a while at the animal clinic. No, we never get enough puppies and kittens. Unfortunately, we missed the kitty halftime show.
I want to get the tape of that and put a TV in our waiting room, then when people get cranky about the wait time we pop in the tape and say “Look! Puppies!”.

The REAL half-time show would have been a million times better with the Bissell Kitties rather than the Rolling Stones.
