The kitty half time show was cute as usual but they really need to tone down the amount of stimulus. Some of the kitties looked lost.
Seems to be a lot more advertising this year.

Ooooh, I made a big mistake and looked directly at the Beverly Hills Chihuahua extended preview. I’m not sure enough brain cells survived to allow coherent posting.
Not that I’m all that coherent after the kitten half-time show, anyway–I’m usually paralyzed with squee. I do hope that one kitten outgrows his foreleg deformities, though. Poor kitty.

Just watching the rerun now (was watching the game earlier), and I see what you mean about the kitten with the deformed forelegs, **CrazyCatLady**. I think it looked pretty scrawny in the first place; it seemed a lot littler than the others. I think it was my favorite, though. 😃
And I’m loving the Subaru commercials with the pups behind the wheel. So cute!

As cute as ever!
And anecdotally, I’m noticing that seven years in this thing is really starting to catch on. I’ve see more people mention that they would be watching it than usual, and I’ve heard reports that some bars and restaurants had a tv tuned to it during the day.
I sure hope this keeps growing as a Super Sunday tradition/alternative, cause it is cute as all get-out.

The Animal Planet web site says that the Puppy Bowl is taped in October and by the time it is aired, all the puppies, which come from shelters and adoption agencies, usually have found homes.

I fell in love with Louise, who admittedly didn’t distinguish herself on the field as much as her sister Thelma. But that lab face with those floppy hound ears! So cute!
Also, Amy - Golden Retriever/Corgi? Seriously? How the heck did THAT happen?

I thought CB had corgi in him (her?). Shih tzu/beagle is an interesting mix. All the cuteness of a shih tzu combined with the energy of a beagle. Definitely was my favorite, so I’m all for the MVP choice.

I wanted to kidnap- er, adopt- Two Face and snuggle him forever. Such a mellow baby. But I bet it’s confusing to be the biggest and the youngest (or, in the last section, second-youngest) on the field. The other puppies were a month older than him. No wonder he spent the first section resting and trying to figure things out.
