so at 11:30 i decide to start studying for an exam that starts tomorrow at 8am. but first i’d better check th SD board, incase there’s something good… lo and behold, an hour has sneaked by and my book remains unopened. what makes it worse is that I had an exam earlier today, which i didnt do so well on. you’d think that would be motivation to improve on this one, but my mind doesnt work that way ---

The board will still be here tomorrow after your exam. I know it’s hard to get motivated sometimes, so maybe it will be easier to force yourself to study if you tell yourself you can’t look at the Dope until you’ve done the necessary studying. Good luck. ---

I’ve been around here a lot lately, wasting time when I should be studying. But if it wasn’t the SDMB, it would be a game, or a book, or some TV. I just can’t get motivated this semester. The smart thing to do would be to start some threads about clinical microbiology, transfusion practices, and histological staining techniques, so I could trick myself into learning school material through the boards. But that’s too much work. ---

Yup. I have 90 essays to grade and tons of my own homework. Time to read a 5 page GD thread? I think so!
