Someone please tell me $84 is a reasonable amount to spend on work shoes. I have _never_ _ever_ spent that much on a pair of shoes.I’ve been cheap and only doing the Payless and cheapie shoes and since I now stand on my feet for 4 hour classes, they are killing me. These shoes look cute and based on co-worker opinions Clark’s are a very comfy shoe. ---

I told my manager that I would not log on on Easter to check on some stuff that runs on Sat/Sun that we need for Monday. I do it most weekends, and I do resent it in general, and I am drawing the line at working on Easter. She understands, but unfortunately, it doesn’t leave her with many good options. She either has to ask our one other teammate to do it or she has to do it herself. But she’s got family stuff going on and may be out of town. So it’s kind of a mess. But it’s not my mess and I’m not going to back down. I’m not terribly religious, but I do go to church, and I do consider Sunday to be a family day and I’m getting really sick of having to do work every weekend. :mad: ---

**McUne** , I don’t think $84 is unreasonable for a good pair of shoes. The walking shoes I wear daily were about $64, so I can see a nicer shoe costing a bit more. I used to buy SAS shoes when I lived closer to a store that carried them. They were more expensive than I liked, but they wore forever and they were soooooooo comfy!! Few things are as bad achy feet, right? ---

Gah-where to start? 1. **Dolores** –it was me that mentioned Jelly Blocks. If you can get me past level 72 (I think), I’m yours. 2. What’s up with **bb2k**?–seems pissier than usual. 3. **Hazel** has taken to posting to us in quasi-Korean. Or gibberish. Or both. 😕 I hope you’re ok. 4. You all are shattering illusions left and right–I’ve never seen a Jewish person drunk (seriously). Wait, let me amend that: I’ve never seen a Jewish person drunk on a Jewish holiday. (bear in mind I’m not exactly knee deep in sharing Jewish Holy Days). Kosher wine sounds godawful (sorry). 5. Happy St Patrick’s Day 6. $84 is NOT too much to spend on good, supportive shoes. Just think of the $$$ you’d spend on podiatry. MUCH more than $84. Am home from busy morning at work. Am tired. Have a sore throat and (I think) a cracked filling or tooth). Pain. Cannot drink anything less or more than room temp or body temp. Cannot eat much–hmmm, this could be good. The painful tooth diet. Must take advantage of this. Busier day tomorrow and all week. Why? WHY? ---

I tend to be a bit lost sometimes until I go back and re-read stuff. It’s part of the norm here. At least for me. {{{{ **Haze** }}}} Keep the reassurances of the shoes coming. I may have to wait until payday with all of the bathroom repairs we have done. Speaking of bathroom repairs they are installing the toilet and sink as we speak.
